Yet in the time you were apart, in the time he knew he fucked up and should’ve reached out sooner, you’ve learned how to have your fun. - Don’t get him wrong, he’s absolutely heated in every way possible. You look ready for the taking more than anything tonight—but the sight of that man’s hands on your hips is all that he can focus on. there're hardly any moments you two can get alone. with the whole of piltover after you and the whole of zaun championing your girlfriend, it's been a very rough couple of weeks.
most of your time is spent hiding out, and during that time, you're entertaining isha as much as you can. whether that be through beetle brawling, drawing, or re-dying her hair so it doesn't lose its blue. it's anything you can do to keep her happy, to keep her away from the impending war that brews on outside.
but then a moment comes along where isha disappears. which isn't entirely odd because she's been known to vanish from time to time. you've grown used to it, after years of observing her movements, and calm jinx down when her look for isha grows a bit frantic.
"she's fine," you assure jinx, rubbing at her shoulder. "i wouldn't be this calm if i knew she wouldn't be."
"yeah, but," jinx says, running a shaky hand through her hair. "it's getting dangerous out there, and isha isn't us. she's young; she's practically a baby, and people are sick fucks with deranged brains and—"
you instantly draw jinx into your arms, tugging at her until her face is in the crook of your neck. you rub soothing circles against her back, softly cooing until jinx's muttering falls silent. then her arms are curling around your waist, holding you close, as if she's scared you'll disappear too.
"i know it's hard," you say gently. "to trust that things are okay. that the people you love are okay. but you can trust me and trust that i know what i'm talking about." you lean back so you can hold jinx's face in your hands, smoothing your thumbs over the angle of her cheekbones. "so trust me on this, okay? isha's fine, and she knows what to do if she runs into any trouble."
jinx seems unconvinced, but she slowly relaxes as she nuzzles into your touch. with a heavy sigh, she closes her eyes and says, "i've...never had to worry like this before. usually, it was others worrying about me. because i was the jinx, y'know? so it's odd...feeling this way."
you hum in response, still tracing patterns into her cheeks. "feeling what way?" you ask, a little curious and jinx opens her eyes with a shrug.
"responsible?" she tries, before shaking her head. "i don't know, i just—the idea of anything happening to you or isha rips me up inside. like i'd permanently lose my mind, go absolutely fucking crazy if something bad happened to you guys."
you hum again, this time with a hint of a chuckle. but her words have your heart racing because that's exactly how you feel. it also means that what jinx is experiencing is probably similar to your experience.
that she—
"you love us," you whisper, barely loud enough for jinx to hear. but she hears it, loud and clear, as she stares at you with eyes that momentarily look powder blue.
"i...do," she whispers, just as loud, and it's enough to push you. enough to have you pull her in so you can press a sweet kiss against her lips. a kiss she reciprocates eagerly, her arms still tight around your waist, placing you in a trap you hope to never escape.
just as she licks into your mouth with a soft moan, there's a noise that startles you both. you pull apart quickly, looking around and sighing when you see that it's isha.
whose nose is scrunched up in disgust, eyes clenched shut.
you can't help but laugh loudly as jinx snorts, refusing to let you go.
"some nerve you got," jinx scolds playfully. "you couldn't have come back in like twenty minutes?"
you shove jinx, just as playful, and say, "isha, you can open your eyes."
but isha shakes her head, intent of keeping her eyes safe.
but she's smiling now, and that's all that matters.

one last thing before i mute notifs on this post forever: these issues are obviously just as present when it comes to depictions of trans women in fandom. constantly pigeonholing every trans woman, canonical or fanonical, as a domme or a top, making every trans woman extremely sexually aggressive, and vice versa (making every dommy or aggro character a trans woman 'because it just fits so well'), insisting that transfemme characters must be some stereotype rather than dynamic and varied people; all of these are part of this gender essentialist plague in fandom and in online spaces generally.
and even aside from that, it's very clear to me that a lot of people on this website use transfemme headcanons as a way to deflect criticism or to pretend like their engagement with a story is unimpeachable or just in bizarre attempts at actually giving a shit about female characters but in point of fact all they do is treat women, and specifically trans women in this instance, like personality-less dolls they can insert into scenarios. rarely do i see people actually examining what about a character makes them connect with ideas of transness, let alone specifically transfemininity. having a half-baked headcanon about some canonically male character being a trans woman does not make you immune to perpetuating misogyny, and i want to direct that especially towards other transmascs. you are just as capable as anyone at being sexist morons. please knock it off with this transmisogynistic bullshit.
i'm focusing here on sexual stereotypes because that's where i see some of the worst perpetrators of this stuff and what i was talking about in the original post in large part, but by no means does that mean it's absent elsewhere nor that horny spaces are evil by nature in some way. anyone is capable of this stupid shit, it's just very obvious that you don't actually care about trans women when all you do is objectify them.
and like always the issue is not this happening one time or with one character. the issue is that this is a pattern, both with people on an individual level but more importantly across fandom spaces. it comes up over and over again and makes it very clear that no matter how progressive fandom spaces make themselves out to be, there is a lot of work to be done on these fronts.
there is nothing inherently wrong with trans headcanons, obviously. but increasingly in the last several years ive seen them used to uphold hegemonic ideas about gender and race and sexuality and im extremely tired of it. recognize the diverse and broad experiences of other people and stop poisoning your own brains with repackaged conservatism.
i'm so tired of the yaoi-ification of mlm ships where people feel the need to make one of them (usually the fandom-assigned bottom) into a teeny tiny waifish twink and the other into a huge musclebound super aggro guy (usually the fandom-assigned top) i know this is like a thing many people have been saying for years but i just feel like it has never actually gotten better in fandom spaces. the fatphobia of it, the gender essentialism, the homophobia, it's all so fucking annoying it makes me want to scream

The kitchen was bathed in the warm, golden light of a 1950s morning, the rays streaming through the lace curtains hanging over the sink. You leaned against the counter, still wrapped in your soft, floral-patterned night robe, clutching a steaming cup of coffee. The house was quiet except for the faint hum of a radio playing a cheery tune somewhere in the background.
Agatha swept into the room, the click of her heels on the linoleum kitchen floor heralding her arrival. She was dressed impeccably, as always, in a period accurate tartan dress adorned with her brooch that glinted in the morning sun. Her hair was perfectly styled, every wave in place, and her lipstick was a bold, commanding red, even if when she stepped out of the house it would appear a dark grey. She was a vision of mid-century poise and confidence, the very picture of a perfect housewife- except Agatha was never confined to anyone’s idea of perfection but her own.
“Good morning, darling,” she said, her voice dripping with honeyed affection as she set her latest gift for Wanda on the kitchen table. Her eyes swept over you, a smile tugging at her lips when she noticed the disheveled way your robe hung loosely, revealing the barest hint of skin beneath.
“Morning,” you replied, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks under her intense gaze. Even after over a century together, Agatha still had a way of looking at you that made you feel as though you were the only person in the world.
She crossed the room in a few measured steps, her heels clicking softly, and stood in front of you, one hand reaching out to trail her fingers lightly along the edge of your robe. “Still not dressed, I see,” she teased, her voice dropping to a playful whisper. “You do realize we have a busy day ahead, don’t you?” You’d agreed to take a walk around Westview with Agatha to see the extent of Wanda’s hold over the town of Westview and the people in it.
“I thought I’d take my time this morning,” you said with a small smile, though the heat in her eyes made it difficult to maintain any semblance of composure. “Besides, you seem to like me this way.”
Agatha chuckled, a rich, throaty sound that sent a shiver down your spine. “Oh, you know me too well,” she murmured, stepping closer until the scent of her perfume enveloped you. Her hands found your waist, her fingers firm yet gentle as they rested there, grounding you against the counter.
Her lips captured yours in a kiss, soft at first, but quickly deepening as her confidence and passion took over. The world outside the kitchen faded away, the only reality being the warmth of her body against yours and the taste of her lips. One hand slid up to cup your cheek, tilting your face to give her better access, while the other held you firmly in place as though she were afraid you might slip away.
“You’re irresistible, you know that?” she murmured against your lips, her voice low and full of affection. Her hand moved from your waist to the tie of your robe, fingers brushing against your skin as she toyed with the fabric. “But you’re also a distraction. How am I supposed to get anything done with you standing here looking like that?”
You couldn’t help but laugh, the sound breaking the tension for a moment before her lips found yours again, her kiss stealing away any witty reply you might have had. Agatha was always in control, always the one to set the pace, and you loved the way she made you feel cherished and utterly powerless all at once.
When she finally pulled back, her lipstick slightly smudged and her eyes bright with mischief, she gave you a look that promised this wasn’t over. “Finish your coffee, sweetheart,” she said, her voice sweet but commanding. “And then get dressed. We’ve got a whole day of exploring ahead of us.”
As she stepped away, smoothing her dress and readjusting her brooch as if nothing had happened, you couldn’t help but grin. Agatha always had a way of making the mundane feel extraordinary, and mornings like this reminded you just how much you loved her.
Agatha paused, sensing what was happening next door. “Wanda needs me. Our little morning expedition will have to wait my love.” she grabbed her purse, ready to dash off.
You don’t look up from the coffee, muttering, "fine." This was the fourth day in a row that Wanda had come between you getting any significant time with your partner. Never before had her grab for power taken this much of a toll on your time together. While you played your roles in Wanda’s sick sitcom fantasy, there was no way Agatha could even hold your hand without alarm bells ringing. Agatha had convinced you to play the part of her husband Ralph’s sister who was staying for a few weeks which was bad enough, but Wanda had begun to try and set you up with a love interest. Because god forbid a woman could be single in this time period.
Agatha paused her movements, reading the stiffness in your posture. With an almost feline grace, she glides over to your side, leaning casually against the counter.
"Oh, don’t be like that," she teases, nudging you gently with her hip.
You glance at her, eyebrow raised. "Like what?"
"Like you’re sulking. You’re not jealous, are you?" She smirks, her tone dripping with mock innocence.
Your jaw tightens, and you turn back to your coffee. "Why would I be jealous? It’s not like you’ve been spending every waking moment fawning over Wanda lately or anything."
Agatha tilts her head, her expression a mix of amusement and mischief. "Darling, it’s all part of the plan. You know that."
"Do I?" you shoot back, finally meeting her gaze. "Because it feels like you’re enjoying this a little too much."
She laughs, a throaty, melodious sound, and steps closer. "Oh, come now. You don’t think I’d forget about you, do you?"
You hold her gaze, your frustration simmering beneath the surface. "Prove it."
Agatha’s eyes twinkle with a wicked glint. "Oh, you’re going to make me work for it, are you?"
Before you can respond, she closes the distance between you, her hands slipping around your waist under the robe, groaning at the feel of your naked flesh under her fingertips. She pulls you flush against her, her lips a breath away from yours.
"Darling," she murmurs, her voice low and sultry, "you know you’re the only one I’d burn this world down for."
And then she kisses you—slow, deliberate, and intoxicating. It’s the kind of kiss that makes the room spin, that makes every ounce of doubt and frustration melt away.
When she finally pulls back, you’re breathless, your fingers clutching the lapels of her dress.
"Convinced?" she whispers, her lips quirking into that signature sly grin.
You roll your eyes, but a reluctant smile tugs at your lips. "Fine. You go help the witch and her robot. I’ll get dressed. But you owe me" you sighed, your tone laced with mock exasperation. "Big time."
Agatha raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? And what does my darling little witch want?"
You smirk, leaning back against the counter. "When you’re done with all of this- after you drain Wanda of her magic and become the most powerful witch in the world- Senor Scratchy stays with us. No arguments."
Her expression falters for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly as if weighing the request. Then her lips curve into a sly grin.
"Senor Scratchy? Really?" she asks, half-laughing. "That’s your price?"
"Yep," you say, crossing your arms. "I like him. He stays."
Agatha lets out an amused sigh, shaking her head. "Fine. But only because you asked so sweetly." She leans in, planting another kiss on your cheek, her lips lingering just a moment longer than necessary. "Now, behave yourself while I’m gone. I’ll make it up to you later."
You watch her saunter out of the kitchen, her humming trailing after her. As the door clicks shut behind her, you look down at your cup of coffee, a small smile tugging at your lips.
"Hear that baby?” you looked at your new pet lounging on the sofa “your new mommy is gonna make it up to me later” you smile, taking a sip and heading upstairs to get dressed. Or not. She did like you better that way after all…

Sonic + Friends Youtuber headcanon post??
Tails is just canonically a youtuber. Sorry not sorry, look up TailsTube.
Sonic, when he's not guest-starring on Tails' channel, would have a tiny little channel of his own with approximately three youtube videos and all three of them are about how not to get lost in the jungle. He doesn't appear on camera once. Shitty MS paint overlays, Arial font crudely edited over the footage, but really, really solid advice.
Amy does youtube/tiktok shorts doing tarot readings! And sometimes talking about her own adventures, but mostly as sidenotes to the reading of the week. She will, however, use her platform to boost fundraisers and talk about political causes she believes in.
Knuckles doesn't have a youtube account, but Tails did do an hour-long feature where he followed Knuckles around his usual route on Angel Island and interviewed him. They covered a good variety of topics, like how Knuckles occupies his time, grows his own food, searches and records lost Echidna artifacts, etc. It was very casual, sort of like a podcast.
Rouge doesn't have a youtube but she does run a successful anonymous instagram shitpost account comprised entirely of blurry pictures of Sonic and Shadow from people's doorbell and dash cams.
Shadow? Motorcycle repair and gun-cleaning tutorials. He films using an old digital camera Rouge got for him. It took him a bit of experimenting to figure out how to use it, but now he's got the hang of it. His videos aren't the best quality, since he tends to set the camera down and forget about it, but his explanations are thorough. Some people find his voice soothing.
Omega doesn't do youtube- he does twitch. He streams through his own optics as the camera, giving a first-person view of the carnage as he destroys Eggman bases. However, this isn't what got him viral. After each rampage, he'll stand over the remains of his robotic enemies and do a Q&A with the audience. The internet has decided that his responses are the most hysterical thing. Part of him is pleased he has so many watchers, but the other part of him is pissed that none of them want to stick around for the actual destruction.
Vanilla doesn't want Cream to be on the internet at such a young age! Good call, honestly. Sometimes Vanilla worries about Tails in this regard.
Vector flopped on Youtube, but he was HUGE on vine when he was back in high school. And he will never, ever, ever let anyone know about it. Sometimes Sonic will quote one of his vines and it gives him a heart attack.
Espio makes cute little origami tutorials! His channel isn't very popular, but he is one of the top results when searching how to make some very specific origami patterns.
Charmy has expressed interest in being a minecraft streamer, but Vector does everything in his power to prevent this.
Blaze has wayyyyy too much stage fright to consider a private youtube channel, but she appears on the news often enough in her home dimension.
Silver showed up in one of Tails' videos once and has gained a cult following ever since. They keep asking Tails to bring him back.
Metal Sonic is a Minecraft youtuber who focuses on pretty little creative builds. He tried to do multiplayer PVP for a little but he quickly broke his controller. Sometimes he gets roped into a video with-
Sage is also a Minecraft youtuber who focuses exclusively on redstone builds with more computing power than the fucking apollo program. Other than her voice, her videos are entirely anonymous. She's gotten comments calling her the "Tails" of Minecraft, and she couldn't be more flattered.
Eggman runs a propaganda channel for his empire that quickly got banned, and he moved to one of those sketchy youtube knockoffs. And a certain. . . more explicit website. The one with "hub" in the name. Every video is your typical propaganda fair, all hail Eggman, death to the blue rat, etc etc etc.

botw2 (totk rewritten) ganondorf design post 2.0
(the better, less rambly one, bc i shouldnt be allowed to write when its past midnight- not deleting the other one bc i am a little whimp and am getting so bad decision paralysis over it its made me cry, this one is more heavy on design and the basic plot of the game)
Basic plot summary (shorter version- longer version at the end):
sheikah in service of the ancient queen discover remnants of the past while excavating for luminous stones, these remnants were being defended/kept safe by the sonau (engl. zonai) little shy cave dwellers who have kept these last ruins save but secret bc they thought it could lead to disaster seemingly aware of the ever repeating cycle and believing it to be not divine but a self perpetuated one built on the one sided history of the past, which is a threat to hyrule and its golden legacy; these ruins speak of a world threatening evil being born as the king of the gerudo, the ancient queen thus plans to lure him into a trap to seal him away before he can realize his destiny, he learns of it however and is forced to confront the queen through breaking into the castle, she sees that as a confirmation of her fears and it escalates into a battle between them that kills everyone that was in the throne room except the young princess- the queen sealing ganondorf as the room and parts of the castle is destroyed and buried beneath the ground. (the game largely revolves around finding clues about it, especially in sealed off caves of the now long extinct sonau)
except for the scene in the throne room nothing is clearly shown of the past, but it is the background behind everything
(zeldas main struggle in this game will be having to come to terms with her families legacy, what she thought and was taught not being true, the dark secrets buried everywhere, and perhaps trying to be better, now that all of hyrules been destroyed and the lands and people yet survived)
Mummy version:
what you discover beneath hyrule castle after going to investigate the failing of shiekah tech all around, it is a clearly shiekah made system all around, though the chamber you find him in was built around him after the sealing, it being implied they used his spiritual power as the main energy source for all future tech, once disturbed the seal breaks and fuses to zelda (similar to the og trailer with link) he wakes up, the shock of suddendly being back in this broken body leading him to rather viciously attack them, the mastersword breaks and link loses his arm, the cave crumbles and zelda flees as she drags link behind her- the cataclysm happens and links gets his shiekah tech arm.
(in the little sketch there is a very roughly approximation to where ganondorf is located at the start and mid game fight, the arena you fought calamity ganon in is in reality a sphere with the lower half being an energy reserve for the royal family and further down the mechanism for the rising pillars from botw, its located between the castle and ganondorfs chamber, to quickly react when the malice build up has reached a critical point to detect immediately and start the defense programm- its all broken but still explorable after the mid point)
ganondorfs body is very damanged, the hole in his chest from the seal leads into an empty cavity, the ribs broken and bent in a swirling pattern like a gravitational pull, his right arm was desolved over time as he defensively grabbed the queens arm in his last moments; the face is more bone and there are no eyes, he does not move his jaw to speak, his hair is more like smoke after a certain amount of progression in the game the castle that fell into the underground (current hyrule castle) bc of the cataclysm is made accessible, as you venture in link is grabbed and pulled further in, seperated from zelda, she later rejoins you in the dungeon, acting all normal unless you are observant and see her using her left arm only and walking past things she normally wouldnt- at a certain point once the camera is not watching her, she suddendly starts to attack you viciously, as it was ganondorf in disguise- after the second half the real zelda breaks into the room with your friends in tow (yunobo, teba+tulin, riju, sidon) and he drops the disguise, the rest of the fight is against his mummy form, at the end of which is the cutscene of the confrontation with the queen, it is the only time you are given a direct window into the past. (plus its shown in that cutscene he has the ability to disguise himself as others, but only AFTER you have encountered it as to not ruin that moment..)
post revival/restored: this is how he appears at the end of the game, the last dungeon is within the forgotten plateau, there is a longer cutscene of zelda and him talking while tension builds until the fight begins once your friends arrive (sidenote, this is also only unlocked with more progression, including the koga and deku dungeon and the master sword restoration quest)
this design isnt fully how he was in the past but fit to the circumstances now, but restored to the best of his abilities; he is older (50+) with greying hair; i wanted to make him look both strong and a little worn out, but with a vibe of incredible power he is well aware of as well as warmth the outfit is elaborate but mostly aimed to be practical, its easy to see he used to be a proud king, and still is, even if no one remembers him anymore; he wears a little armguard on the left to for deflecting purposes, his belt is also switched around to how it was originally to make drawing his sword easier with the left arm; a little wooden boar figurine carved from the wood of long extinct trees hangs on his belt, a gift from one of his daughters perhaps he wields magic with ease and his moveset makes it clear just how good of a fighter he is, even after thousands and thousands of years without motion, his moves are controlled and practiced- the magic is also NOT just based on malice, malice might be what keeps him alive now but its not all he is, he wields lightning and simpler moves with other elements, perhaps implying that magic was more widely spread back in his day .. or he has learned to wield it in part to the repeated interactions with the other races (both in the past, and as calamity ganon- it is made clear that whatever the malice eyes saw he saw as well, (also explaining how he can speak their languages) though it is also implied that the calamity as such is not fully his own making, but something familiar reaching out to try and help him break free -NOT anythign demise related, leave the guy alone- but going with the idea of the calamity having been what remained of oot ganondorf after degrading over all this time- a kindred spirit reaching out to take revenge together in a way
Beast Ganon(dorf), normal
Beast Ganon(dorf), charging magic
phase 3 of the end fight, after phase two he takes out all your friends and tranforms, chasing you (link and zelda) through the ground until breaking through to the surface of the plateau where this battle takes place.
his design is loosely inspired by the smoke version of calamity ganon and twilight princess beast ganon, his face and teeth mostly from the calamity- his back is split open with a shiekah tech spine, given his connection to it via being its power source as well as overtaking it in botw, reddish smoke eminating from it, hes has 5 limbs as he is still missing his right arm, the big dark arms are made of malice and in phase 2 he takes one of those big arms to 'rebuild' his missing one, though it is not as well usable like a real one, his braids carry over thoguh now dark black, when charging magic it lights up in waves; the tail is flat and he moves not all that beast like, more draconic really, able to float for short periods of time and 'swim' through the ground reminiscent of moldoras his attack pattern is changed to fit this appearance, but he still uses magic in varying ways, thouhg swiping and biting after you as well, he will sometimes go for zelda directly but she will usually protect herself in a bubble of light- typical weak point is within the mouth though he makes sure to not give you alot of opportunities, typical staggers migth include destroying a front leg (since those are all made of goo)
my aim with this was to create a beast version both familiar and very different, with the vibe of, this is still him, just another appearance, though angered and more agressive he has not lost himself, perhaps even enjoying it a little, feeling a little more alive again, though he does not care for this world, he is a stranger here, this isnt his time and all that ever mattered to him is long gone, destroyed or forgotten, now all that matters to him is to end zeldas rotten family
Phase 2 and Phase 4 (out of order bc big boar lad wouldnt fit on here)
in phase 2 he 'rebuilds' his missing arm with one taken from the boar form, as it appears afterwards, he changes his sword into a larger one during the second half and can change its hilt length on the fly, making it both a big sword and a spear- the malice arm will be used to mimic some of links abilities, like the hookshot, grabbing onto you from afar, pulling you closer or flinging you around, while still being largely a swordfight with magic- he can aim lightning directly at you just as you can via the shiekah arm and rijus ability, if you are quick enough you can activate it at the same time as he does and catch the charge instead, either refilling your magic meter or deflecting it back at him (like the god ol back and forth)
phase 4 is the final phase after beast (phase 3) his design is a mix of all forms, he is larger than in 1 and 2, furry all over and although much more human again his hair is all smoke like, the armguard fused to his arm like golden scales and the wound in the chest now broken open again with malice eyes staring from within
after phase 3 it seems like the battle is over and zelda steps up to do just as she did at botw end, but before she can finish it a swordslash cuts off half her right hand, as ganondorf isnt done yet and changed from phase 3 to 4; zelda is then disabled for this last fight (no fighting support and repairing weapons), shes been taken to safety by your friends, who finally managed to follow you up here, and you, link, are now the last one standing- his moveset is a mix of it all, quickly changing between swordplay and swipes, magical abilities and grab attacks, it is faster than the previous ones and he dodges much more as well, its meant to really be a challenge

Long plot summary: the shiekah in the service of the ancient queen of hyrule discovered ancient remnants of times long past (aka the old titles, long forgotten) while excavating for luminous stones (as they were developing their tech and needed something to fuel it) that speak of a world threatening evil born as the king of the gerudo, which the queen takes as a warning of the past, and as there currently is a ganondorf as the gerudos king who refuse to unite under her banner but are otherwise on neutral terms she plans to imprison him in a stasis between life and death before he can become that world threatening evil she now believes he is destined to be in order to save everyone and delay it from returning as long as possible (assuming there will be no other male gerudo born while the current one is technically still alive)
(the discovery of said remnants of the past also involves the shiekah persecuting the sonau (zonai), little shy cave dwellers who keep their distance from everyone and have kept these last ruins save but secret bc they thought it could lead to disaster seemingly aware of the ever repeating cycle and believing it to be not divine but a self perpetuated one built on the one sided history of the past, self fullfilling prophecies, which is a threat to hyrule and its golden legacy)
its a plan enacted over years, including secretly manipulating things to make the gerudo farmlands wield bad harvests (NOT in a 'desert was green and lush uwu' way, but they have had their techniques to thrive), forcing them to trade with hyrule and starting to depend on it- the goal being to put ganondorf under so much pressure until he is willing to let go of their sovereignity for the sake of his people or otherwise willing to talk, the meeting with the queen however would be to lure him into a trap and enact the seal
ganondorf here is a new one, he is named so in honor of old myths and legends, he is older (50+) and has two daughters, a proud king and firm in his stance to not bow to anyone yet wanting to avoid conflict for the sake of his people and family; he learns of the scheme before its fully realized, including that the many years of failing crops and dying animals might not be a play of nature after all (through hyrule soldiers talking too much after a having a few too many drinks? something something about their view of the gerudo, since thats always in the games, lets make use of it no?) he sends messengers and messages to the queen, requesting an audience, but she rejects all of it and refuses to talk with him, as the plan isnt fully prepared yet and she has become fearful of him over the years of obsessing over the warnings of the past and the worlds fate, as she sees it, depending on her and the success of it
at some point he has had enough of it and disguises himself and his two most trusted advisors/warriors (potentially his mothers?) as the shiekahs leader and two underlings to finally get to the queen, aiming to confront her about everything- it works and they are let into the castle, overwhelm the guards locking the doors so its only him, his advisors and the royal family with a few taken out guards etc. the queen sees this as a confirmation of his true nature coming through though- he can see there is nothing he could do to convince her he is not what she thinks he is, he attempts to be diplomatic but she is unwavering in her faith
she gives him a choice, to be sealed willingly so he can be remembered as a noble king who gave his life for the world before he became the beast that would threaten to destroy it all, or refuse and risk war and defamation. he refuses of course and a fight ensues, escalating to the point of the throne room itself being send below the earth and the death of everyone within it, with the exception of the young princess of hyrule (who will go on to keep this secret safe and spin the story her way)
it is implied that ganondorf had not told alot of people about hyrules schemes, wanting to deescalate the situation and it ending in a way no one anticipated, but theres remnants of old gerudo villages hidden away as some stayed loyal to him, likely of one of his daughters, as the world turned his legacy into a frightful tale and the gerudo falling under hyrules rule, one chose to resist as the other chose to bow
(i hope its clear that ganondorf is supposed to be framed as the one more in the right, even if its not outright said out loud bc i still want people to think .. i hoped to strike a balance between what i like and what zelda stories usually amount to while leaning much more clearly into a hyrule critical lense .. without, hopefully, being too overtly so)
(i thought about making the mid game cutscene into a rough comic or storyboard but im honestly very unsure about it all again q-q)

"Cale-nim." And finally, he faced Clopeh Sekka, the disaster. No, not quite a disaster yet. "Uh, umm.." For some reason, Cale was speechless. He would like to ask why the quest progress was like that. "Did you have a nice trip?" But when he saw Clopeh smiling, he was afraid to ask. '…Did I choose wrong?' For the first time in a while, Cale regretted his choice. “I did what you asked me to do, and I did it with all my heart and soul.” Ah. A sigh escaped his mouth. "Now that everything's ready, Cale-nim, all we have to do is wait a day." A smiling Clopeh. His gentle voice. Eyes filled with happiness. And eyes that sparkled with excitement. 'I'm screwed.' Cale realized that whatever it was, he was doomed. And- "Hahaha-" He laughed. "Yeah. Good job!" Yeah, everything will work out somehow! And I'm not going to live in the game, and it will only be a little embarrassing for that dragon half-blood guy. 'Yeah, people will soon forget his birth!' Honestly, look around you. Who, not even family, would remember the moment someone was born and talk about it for decades? 'Yeah! It's just an event! A quest!' Therefore! "Okay, I'll just wait!" Let's just sit still and receive the quest rewards. "Hahaha!" Cale laughed.
But that sentence in the middle though - Who, not even family, would remember the moment someone was born and talk about it for decades? ...KRS's past is just so sad. 😭
Clopeh then asked for Cale's help later, saying that it was "nothing special" and just "something small." Yeah, right. 😂😂😂 Last chapter, Cale spoke of his raid as "nothing special" while Alberu and Rosalyn looked at him disbelief. 🤣🤣🤣
So, Cale... why did you agree to help? You even had an ominous feeling. 😂😂😂
Count Lupe was confirmed to be dead, and his soul was trapped in the game. But his family did not survive the experiment, dying in agony. So upon regaining his memories, he vowed revenge against the Demon King.
Problem was, Count Lupe was in awe at Cale who instigated discord between the Demon King, hunters, and GoC alliance. He was giving Clopeh vibes today. Welcome to Caleism, Count Lupe. 😂😂😂
So what exactly did Clopeh do? Well, he caused 39 different phenomena in the entire continent, overworking Gashan, HD, Mary, and the others. This caused the powers of New World, such as kingdoms, magic towers, and the Eight Evils, to secretly send their strongest people in the 7th Evil area.
"…" Cale shut his eyes tightly. In the incubation room, there was only Cale and Eden Miru. On his lap lay Clopeh's report. "…" He opened his eyes and stared at the egg wrapped in a flower-patterned blanket. "…I'm sorry." …Shake. It was a gesture of understanding and resignation. (Insert several paragraphs of what Clopeh had done.) Clopeh's report ran to a whopping hundred pages. It was hard to even hold it. "…39 strange phenomena… across the entire continent? This crazy bastard." Shake. "You made a video and posted it on the forums to spread public opinion? How did you know that? Legends just make stories on their own, right? But why did you make a video and post it? Hah. You crazy bastard." Shake. "Are you excited too?" Shake. "Thank you for your hard work." Shake. "But it will be okay after tomorrow. Yes." Shake? "Yeah. I guess it'll be okay." …Sh…Sh…Shake. Cale tried hard to ignore the report that contained the order in which the birth, or rather the legendary birth, was to take place. "Hey, you just have to be born well. We'll take care of the rest." Sh…Sh…Sha…Shake…Shake… Eden Miru also turned away.
Cale's reactions. 😂😂😂 And Eden's shaking. 🤣🤣🤣 Clopeh overdid it that with less than an hour left, the birth ceremony progress rose from 159% to 197%! 🤣🤣🤣

Your ears flicked in response to the faint rustle of papers, followed by a soft exhale. Jing Yuan, the esteemed Arbiter-General of the Cloud Knights, was at his desk, eyes focused on a scroll. His long hair shimmered under the warm lamplight, tied loosely with the familiar red ribbon.
But your heart melted when you saw the faintest smile tug at his lips. He always knew when you were near.
"You're late," Jing Yuan said, not bothering to look up, his voice smooth and teasing.
You pouted, tail swishing behind you. “Says the man who naps half the day. How do you even notice the time?”
He chuckled softly, setting the scroll aside. “An Arbiter-General must remain observant at all times. Besides…” His gaze lifted, eyes locking with yours. “You’re quite hard to miss, little cat.”
Your cheeks warmed at the affectionate nickname. Bounding over to him, you perched on the armrest of his chair, curling your tail around yourself. He reached out, his hand gentle as it brushed against your ears. A purr involuntarily rumbled from your chest.
“Ah, there it is,” he murmured, leaning back as if satisfied with his discovery. “My greatest weapon—your purring.”
You swatted at his arm, but there was no real strength behind it. “You’re insufferable.”
“And yet,” he countered, cupping your chin, his thumb brushing against your cheek, “you keep coming back.”
Silence lingered for a moment, the soft hum of the room wrapping around you both. Jing Yuan’s thumb traced slow, soothing patterns along your jawline. You leaned into his touch, closing your eyes as the tension of the day melted away.
“You’re overworking yourself again,” you murmured. “When’s the last time you took a proper break?”
He smirked. “I believe I took a rather refreshing nap yesterday.”
“That doesn’t count!” Your tail flicked in mild annoyance, but he only chuckled.
“Hmm. Perhaps I’ve been remiss in caring for myself,” he conceded, though his tone held a mischievous edge. “Would you, my dear, take it upon yourself to enforce my rest?”
You tilted your head, narrowing your eyes. “Are you asking me to become your personal nap enforcer?”

How would each ro react to the mc parnets trying to be involved in their child life?
Cause they sound insane as hell considering how they are acting
I'm not going to go into too much detail because some of that will be in the story itself. (below the cut!)
❤️ Cam - Originally, MC's parents treated him well. (likely due to that last name of his.) But, once they realized he was the black sheep of his family, their treatment soured. He sees them for who they are - self-serving and opportunistic. For him, it's a big no. Big no. He knows them too well to give them the benefit of the doubt. "Maybe you should focus on Jade, I mean why stop now right?"
💙 G - So, MC's parents met G several times when they were attending Uni together. They initially liked G, especially when they thought G was on track to become a surgeon. G got along with them until they began noticing the favoritism between MC and Jade. They had hoped they would improve, but from what they noticed they never did. Over time they realized that MC's parents' treatment wasn't a fluke - it was a pattern. G likes to think things through and figure out what's going on. But their patience has limits, and they quickly decide that the parents aren't worth the effort. They don't hide their disdain.
💚 Kara - Our sweet girl likes to believe the best in people, including those two. Kara has been treated like royalty by them. So, she doesn't know all the bad. She has seen MC's parents when they're at their happiest. Surrounded by the Clarke's money and living it up, since they're family friends. Her optimism will crack though, once she starts seeing the difference in how MC is treated in comparison to Jade. Watching MC get brushed aside time and time again is eye-opening for her, and it even parallels. She often feels like a backup/afterthought to her parents. Her loyalty to MC will outweigh her idealism, and she'll start to see the parents for who they are.
💛 M - HATES them. Like really hates them. M has an amazing relationship with their mothers. So, seeing people act so aloof with their child, pisses them off. It's revolting. And you know how M is, sometimes they can hold their tongue, and other times it's out of their mouth before it's even fully processed in their mind. M thinks it's in MC's best interest to cut ties with them. Because they know MC deserves better, and if their parents won't give it to them. M will.
💜 Isaac - So, their feelings about MC's parents are complicated. Isaac lost their mother and has a pretty rocky relationship with his father. So, his perspective is unique. He knows what it's like to feel like a dollar sign to a parent, and he fears MC will face that too when they're more successful. Beneath that cynicism, there's a bit of sadness. Because they can't help but think about the relationship they had with their mother, that they wish MC could have. If Isaac thought there was a chance for MC's relationship with their parents to change and become healthy, they would oh so cautiously, support it. But if not, then he'd be the first to tell them to walk away.
🖤 Ardent - Ugh, this guy has really good parents. Most of his family is great. (then the others well.. spoiler) One of the two out of the ROs. He's used to arguments and disagreements with his family, but those are small fights. Over stupid things, it's never about favoritism or neglect. To him, family means showing up and making someone feel like a priority. MC's parents fail that test immensely. If MC needs companionship, a partnership, or a family he is ready to offer it all. For him, blood isn't what defines family; actions do.

speaking as a person in the aro-ace spectrum, i have stumbled on this roadblock in my latest project, romance is a element in multiple character's story, however i have realized i have absolutely no idea how to even begin to to portray it in deep and grounded in reality way.
but i guss the simplest thing to answer would be, how do i figure out what one of my characters would find attractive in a romantic partner? how do i make their slow transition into a romantic relationship not feel out of place or jarring?

Writing Notes: Romantic Relationships
Stages of Relationship Development. In this study, 10 stages of interaction were found that can help us understand how relationships come together and come apart (Knapp & Vangelisti, 2009).
We should keep the following things in mind about this model of relationship development:
relational partners do not always go through the stages sequentially,
some relationships do not experience all the stages,
we do not always consciously move between stages, and
coming together and coming apart are not inherently good or bad.
Relationships are always changing—they are dynamic.
Although this model has been applied most often to romantic relationships, most relationships follow a similar pattern that may be adapted to a particular context.
COMING TOGETHER PHASE
Stage 1: Initiating
In this stage, when we are attracted to someone, we may signal or invite them to interact with us.
For example, you can do this by asking them to dinner, to dance at a club, or even, “I really liked that movie. What did you think?”
The significance here is in the relational level (how the people feel about each other) rather than the content level (the topic) of the message.
As the poet, Maya Angelou, explains, “Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with shades of deeper meaning.”
The ‘shades of deeper meaning’ are the relational level messages that invite others to continue exploring a possible romantic relationship.
Quite often, we strategize how we might go about inviting people into communication with us so we can explore potential romantic development.
Initiating is influenced by several factors:
If you encounter a stranger, you may say, “Hi, my name’s Rich.”
If you encounter a person you already know, you’ve already gone through this before, so you may just say, “What’s up?”
Time constraints also affect initiation. A quick passing calls for a quick hello, while a scheduled meeting may entail a more formal start.
If you already know the person, the length of time that’s passed since your last encounter will affect your initiation. For example, if you see a friend from high school while home for winter break, you may set aside a long block of time to catch up; however, if you see someone at work that you just spoke to ten minutes earlier, you may skip initiating communication.
The setting also affects how we initiate conversations, as we communicate differently at a crowded bar than we do on an airplane.
Culture can also impact the interaction. Some cultures have different expectations for interactions between people of different ages, sexes, or other situations while some cultures do not have as many expectations.
Even with all this variation, people typically follow their culture’s social scripts or interaction at this stage.
Stage 2: Experimenting
In this stage, we are getting to know the other person to identify compatibility beyond physical attraction.
We share information about ourselves while looking for mutual interests, shared political or religious views, and similarities in family background.
Common dating activities in this stage: going to parties or other publicly structured events, like movies or a concert, that foster interaction and small talk.
Small talk, a hallmark of the experimenting stage, is common among young adults just beginning to explore a new relationship by staying on polite, uncontroversial topics.
Small talk can be annoying sometimes, especially if you feel like you have to do it out of politeness but it serves important functions: creating a communicative entry point that can lead people to uncover topics of conversation that go beyond the surface level, helping us audition someone to see if we’d like to talk to them further, and generally creating a sense of ease and community with others.
If your attempts at information exchange with another person during the experimenting stage are met with silence or hesitation, you may interpret their lack of communication as a sign that you shouldn’t pursue future interaction.
Even though small talk isn’t viewed as very substantive, the authors of this model of relationships point out that most of our relationships do not progress far beyond this point (Knapp & Vangelisti, 2009).
Stage 3: Intensifying
In this stage, we continue to be attracted (mentally, emotionally, and physically) to one another, we begin engaging in intensifying communication.
This is the happy stage (the “relationship high”) where we cannot bear to be away from the other person. It is here that you might plan all of your free time together, and begin to create a private relational culture.
Going out to parties and socializing with friends takes a back seat to more private activities (e.g., cooking together at home or taking long walks on the beach).
Self-disclosure continues to increase as each person has a strong desire to know and understand the other. In this stage, we tend to idealize one another in that we downplay faults (or don’t see them at all), seeing only the positive qualities of the other person.
Other signs of the intensifying stage can include:
creation of nicknames or inside jokes
increased use of we and our
increased sharing emotionally (e.g., saying “I love you”.)
increased physical intimacy
increased communication about each other’s identities
increased sharing of possessions and personal space (e.g., you have a key to your partner’s apartment)
Stage 4: Integrating
In this stage, identities and personalities are merged, and a sense of interdependence (dependence on each other) develops.
Verbal and nonverbal signals of the integrating stage are when the social networks of two people merge; those outside the relationship begin to refer to or treat the relationship partners as if they were one person (e.g., always referring to them together—“Let’s invite Olaf and Bettina”); or the relational partners present themselves as one unit (e.g., both signing and sending one holiday card or opening a joint bank account).
Even as two people integrate, they likely maintain some sense of self by spending time with friends and family separately, which helps balance their needs for independence and connection.
They are looking to measure how well their new partner fits into their lives and how other significant relationships (friends and family members) rate or respond to their new love interests.
When the “relational high” begins to wear off, couples begin to have a more realistic perspective of one another and the relationship as a whole.
Here, people may recognize the faults of the other person that they so idealized in the previous stage.
Also, couples must again make decisions about where to go with the relationship—do they stay together and work toward long-term goals, or define it as a short-term relationship?
A couple may be deeply in love and also make the decision to break off the relationship for a multitude of reasons.
Perhaps one person wants to join the Peace Corps after graduation and plans to travel the world, while the other wants to settle down in their hometown.
Their individual needs and goals may not be compatible to sustain a long-term commitment.
Stage 5: Bonding
In this stage, a couple makes the decision to make the relationship a permanent part of their lives.
In this stage, the participants assume they will be in each other’s lives forever and make joint decisions about the future.
While marriage is an obvious sign of commitment it is not the only signifier of this stage. Some may mark their intention of staying together in a commitment ceremony, by registering as domestic partners, or by becoming Facebook official.
Likewise, not all couples planning a future together legally marry. Some may lose economic benefits if they marry, such as the loss of Social Security for seniors or others may oppose the institution (and its inequality) of marriage.
Not only do romantic couples progress through a series of stages of growth, they also experience stages of deterioration.
Deterioration does not necessarily mean that a couple’s relationship will end.
Instead, couples may move back and forth from deterioration stages to growth stages throughout the course of their relationship.
COMING APART PHASE
Stage 6: Differentiating
Individual differences can present a challenge at any given stage in the relational interaction model; however, in the differentiating stage, each partner in the relationship is reasserting their sense of self and trying to discover who they are as part of a couple.
Communicating differences becomes a primary focus.
Differentiating is the reverse of integrating, as we and our reverts back to I and my.
People may try to re-establish some of their life prior to the integrating of the current relationship, including other relationships, hobbies, and interests, or possessions.
For example, Carrie may reclaim friends who became “shared” as she got closer to her partner and their social networks merged by saying, “I’m having my friends over to the apartment and would like to have privacy for the evening.”
Or, she may have liked playing golf on Sundays and abandoned it for Sunday dinners with her new partner and her new family.
Now, she will want to return to what makes her happy.
Individuals in the couple will want to have a sense of self that is independent and not necessarily tied to their partner.
Stage 7: Circumscribing
In this stage, communication decreases and certain areas or subjects become restricted as individuals verbally close themselves off from each other.
Circumscribe means to draw a line around something or put a boundary around it (Oxford English Dictionary Online, 2011).
They may say things like “I don’t want to talk about that anymore” or “You mind your business and I’ll mind mine.”
If one person was more interested in differentiating in the previous stage, or the desire to end the relationship is one-sided, verbal expressions of commitment may go unechoed—for example, when one person’s statement, “I know we’ve had some problems lately, but I still like being with you,” is met with silence.
Passive-aggressive behavior and the demand-withdrawal conflict pattern may occur more frequently at this stage.
Couples often engage in more outward conflict.
Stage 8: Stagnating
During this stage, romantic partners begin to neglect the small details that have always bound them together and their relationship becomes routine.
For example, they may stop cuddling on the couch when they rent a movie and instead sit in opposite chairs.
Taken in isolation, this example does not mean a relationship is in trouble.
However, when intimacy continues to decrease, and the partners feel dissatisfied, this dissatisfaction can lead to worrying about the relationship.
The partners may worry that they do not connect with one another in ways they used to, or that they no longer do fun things together.
When this happens they may begin to imagine their life without the relationship.
Rather than seeing the relationship as a given, the couple may begin to wonder what life would be like not being in the partnership.
They begin to assume that they know their partner and are dissatisfied with them.
Instead of communicating, a person may think, “There’s no need to bring this up again because I know exactly how he’ll react!”
Because of this kind of thinking, communication comes to a standstill.
This stage can be prolonged in some relationships.
Parents and children who are estranged, couples who are separated and awaiting a divorce, or friends who want to end a relationship but don’t know how to do it may have extended periods of stagnation.
Although most people don’t like to linger in this unpleasant stage, some try to avoid potential pain from termination, some hope to rekindle the spark that started the relationship, or even some enjoy leading their relational partner on.
Stage 9: Avoiding
Moving to this stage may be a way to end the awkwardness that comes with stagnation, as people signal that they want to close down the lines of communication.
Communication in the avoiding stage can be very direct—“I don’t want to talk to you anymore”—or more indirect—“I have to meet someone in a little while, so I can’t talk long.”
While physical avoidance such as leaving a room or requesting a schedule change at work may help clearly communicate the desire to terminate the relationship, we don’t always have that option.
In a parent-child relationship, where the child is still dependent on the parent, or in a roommate situation, where a lease agreement prevents leaving, people may engage in cognitive dissociation, which means they mentally shut down and ignore the other person even though they are still physically present.
Stage 10: Terminating
This stage of a relationship is when the relationship is ended.
Termination can occur at any point in the relational development model or follow through the phases of coming together and coming apart.
Termination can result from outside circumstances such as geographic separation or internal factors such as changing values or personalities that lead to a weakening of the bond.
When terminating a relationship, people will often follow a pattern that is typical of their culture.
In mainstream American culture, for example, it is typical for someone to start the formal termination of a relationship with a summary message that recaps the relationship and provides a reason for the termination (e.g., “We’ve had some ups and downs over our three years together, but I’m getting ready to go to college, and I either want to be with someone who is willing to support me, or I want to be free to explore who I am.”).
The summary message may be followed by a distance message that further communicates the relational drift that has occurred (e.g., “We’ve really grown apart over the past year”), which may be followed by a disassociation message that prepares people to be apart by projecting what happens after the relationship ends (e.g., “I know you’ll do fine without me. You can use this time to explore your options and figure out if you want to go to college too, or not.”).
Finally, there is often a message regarding the possibility for future communication in the relationship (e.g., “I think it would be best if we don’t see each other for the first few months, but text me if you want to.”) (Knapp & Vangelisti, 2009).
Love Styles. An individual’s love style is considered to be an attitude and describes how love is perceived (Hendrick & Hendrick, 1988).
Attitudes toward love and perceptions of love may change throughout an individual’s life.
College students may perceive love very differently from their parents or guardians because college students are in a very different stage of life.
College students are living among people their age who are more than likely single or unmarried.
These 2 factors mean that there are more prospects for dating, and this may lead the college student to conclude that dating any number of these prospects is necessary or even perceive that “hooking up” with multiple prospects is acceptable.
In contrast, individuals with children who are financially tied may view romantic relationships as partnerships in which goal achievement (pay off the house, send kids to college, pay off debt, etc.) is as important as romance.
These differences in perceptions of love can be explored through John Lee’s love typology in which he discusses 6 love styles (Lee, 1977):
Eros. Eros is romance and emphasizes love and physical beauty, immediate attraction, emotional intensity, and strong commitment. Eros love involves the early initiation of sexual intimacy and consecutive monogamous relationships.
Storge. Storge love develops slowly out of friendship where stability and psychological closeness are valued along with commitment, which leads to enduring love. Passion and intense emotions are not valued as they are in the eros love style. One of the author’s uncles was in his 60s and had never been married. However, he employed a woman who cooked and cleaned for him for over 20 years. His family was very surprised to receive an announcement that he was marrying the individual who took care of him for so long. The formation of their love is a great example of love that arises slowly out of friendship.
Ludic. Ludic lovers view love as a game, and playing this game with multiple partners is perceived to be acceptable by individuals with this love style. As such, this type of lover believes that deception and manipulation are acceptable. Individuals with this love style have a low tolerance for commitment, jealousy, and strong emotional attachment.
Agape. In contrast, agape love involves altruism, giving, and other-centered love. This love style approaches relationships in a non-demanding style with gentle caring and tolerance for others.
Pragma. Pragma love is known as practical love involving logic and reason. Arranged marriages were often arranged for functional purposes. Kings and Queens of different countries often married to form alliances. This love style may seek out a romantic partner for financial stability, ability to parent, or simple companionship.
Mania. Mania is the final love style characterized by dependence, uncertainty, jealousy, and emotional upheaval. This type of love is insecure and needs constant reassurance.
These love styles should not be considered to be mutually independent.
An individual may approach love from a pragmatic stance and have found love that provides financial stability.
However, they still feel insecure (representative of mania) about whether their romantic partner will remain with them, thus ensuring continued financial stability.
It is important to remember that individuals engage in each of these love styles, and it is simply a matter of how much of each love style a person possesses.
The 5 C's of Healthy Relationships. According to Dan Heller (2020), there are a few clues into what might make a relationship work.
In a research project Heller tackled in 1983 as an undergraduate at UC-Santa Cruz, he found 5 components present in successful relationships.
Heller found that the happiest individuals in his research were those who could identify all 5 of these elements in their romantic relationships.
Communication: Effective communication is vital in any relationship. It involves actively listening to each other, expressing thoughts and feelings honestly and respectfully, and resolving conflicts in a healthy way.
Compatibility: The shared values, interests, and goals that bring people together. While differences can be enriching, having fundamental compatibility in important areas can strengthen a relationship's foundation.
Commitment: A willingness to invest time, effort, and energy into the relationship. It means prioritizing the partnership and working together to overcome challenges. Both partners should be dedicated to making the relationship work and be willing to make compromises when necessary.
Care: Care in a relationship involves showing love, affection, and support for your partner. This can manifest through small gestures of kindness, empathy, and consideration for each other's well-being. It's about being there for your partner in good times and bad.
Compromise: Relationships require compromise from both persons involved. This means finding common ground and making sacrifices to meet each other's needs and desires. Healthy compromise is a collaborative effort that ensures both individuals feel valued and respected.
Elements of Healthy Relationships
Communication. The way you talk with friends or partners is an important part of a relationship. Everyone involved should be able to communicate feelings, opinions, and beliefs. When communicating, consider tone and phrasing. Miscommunication often occurs when individuals choose to text versus talking in person or a phone call. Figuring out the best ways to express your feelings together will help eliminate miscommunication.
Boundaries. Boundaries are physical, emotional, and mental limits or guidelines a person sets for themselves which others need to respect. You and your partners or friends should feel comfortable in the activities you are doing together. All individuals involved should be respectful of boundaries. Whether it’s romantic, sexual, or platonic, consider what you want the relationship to look like and discuss it with the other(s).
Consent. Consent is important in all relationships. Consent is uncoerced permission to interact with the body or the life of another person. Coercion can look like pressure to do something, physical force, bargaining, or someone holding power over another to get what they want. Consent can look like asking about boundaries in relationships, actively listening to responses, and always respecting those boundaries.
Trust. Each person in the relationship should have confidence in one another. If you are questioning whether to trust someone, it may be important to communicate your feelings to them. Consider what makes you not trust someone. Is it something they did, or is it something you’ve experienced in other relationships?
Honesty. Honesty is important for communication. Each person within the relationship or friendship should have the opportunity to express their feelings and concerns. If you don’t feel comfortable being honest with someone, consider why and seek support if needed.
Independence. It’s important to have time to yourself in any relationship. Having opportunities to hang with others or time for self-care is important to maintain a healthy relationship. If you live with your partner(s) or friend(s), set up designated areas within your place where you can spend time alone.
Equality. Each person in the relationship should have an equal say in what’s going on. Listen to each other and respect boundaries.
Support. Each person in the relationship should feel supported. It’s important to have compassion and empathy for one another. In addition to supporting one another, it’s important to recognize your own needs and communicate boundaries around support.
Responsibility. Some days you may find you said something hurtful or made a mistake. Make sure to take responsibility for your actions and do not place the blame on your partner(s) or friend(s). Taking responsibility for your actions will further trust and honesty.
Healthy conflict. You may think conflict is a sign of an unhealthy relationship, but talking about issues or disagreements is normal. You won’t find a person that has the exact same interests, opinions, and beliefs as you; thus, at times disagreements may occur. Communicating your feelings and opinions while being respectful and kind is part of a healthy relationship.
Safety. Safety is the foundation of connection in a relationship. In order to set boundaries, communicate, and have fun, everyone must feel safe. If you do not feel safe to express your feelings, have independence, or anything else on this list, seek support using the resources below.
Fun. In addition to all these components, you should be enjoying the time you spend with others. Again, it’s important that your relationships promote your well-being and do not diminish it.

Hi, I don't think this is a strange question, no apologies necessary! There were so many ways I wanted to answer this. For the first question on how to "figure out what one of [your] characters would find attractive in a romantic partner", you may base some of it on Love Styles (+ relevant information in the other studies discussed above).
As for making "their slow transition into a romantic relationship not feel out of place or jarring", the Stages of Relationship Development is one model you can consider for inspiration. Also added some findings on "elements" of romantic/healthy relationships that I thought you may find helpful to incorporate in your story as well. Choose which ones make sense for your characters.
Another way I wanted to answer this was on common love/romance tropes in literature and other media. I find it helpful to learn about different tropes used by other authors when there are topics we want to cover as fiction writers, but have limited knowledge/experience on. But then you could always deviate or subvert those tropes/ideas once your story starts to flow naturally (+ considering your own story angle etc.). Based on The Flame Eternal, it’s canon that Johanna will go places and do things she’s doesn’t want to if she thinks Emmrich needs protecting. She’ll bitch and complain and act like he forced her, but she’ll do it. Somebody has to make sure he doesn’t get himself killed.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to get Johanna to come with him to parties by way of pleading, bribing, trying to convince her that she’d enjoy it, and pulling the old ‘it would make me ever so happy if my best friend in the world came with me,’ Emmrich decides to appeal to Johanna’s protective side AND her love of vengeance by mentioning that one of the attendees at the party will be that motherfucker who publicly humiliated Emmrich at the Post-Mortem Communications Conference by falsely accusing Emmrich of plagiarism.
It was, of course, complete hogwash. Anyone who knew Emmrich even in passing knows he would sooner die than stoop to plagiarism, and that’s from the guy with severe thanatophobia! The guy making the accusation, on the other hand, had clearly borrowed very generously from Emmrich’s paper on the capacity for literacy among spirits, so he was definitely trying to cover up any suspicion coming his way by throwing Emmrich under the carriage. The accusation was dismissed fairly quickly and the damage to Emmrich’s reputation was mostly repaired in a few months, but the bastard in question got away with a mere reprimand because he knew enough people in the right places to claim that it was just an honest mistake.
Emmrich was furious and more than a little hurt that a colleague he thought he got along decently with would do something so cruel. Johanna, on the other hand, was ready to spill blood over it. Plagiarism is already an offense that should be punishable by death, in Johanna’s opinion, but accusing Emmrich of such a vile deed? Johanna’s best friend favorite rival and best lab partner? Unforgivable. Death is too good for him. She is not letting Emmrich go this this party without her. What if that piece of shit tries to pull something again?
She’s so fired up and fuming about the whole thing that Emmrich is able to drag her out to buy new clothes for the party with him, and she only complained about half the time! The rest of the time was spent scheming about exactly what she’s going to do if that fucker tries anything, but this is progress. Yes, yes, you’ll stab him with an hors d'oeuvre fork if he breathes in my direction, but what do you think of this waistcoat? Is the pattern too garish?
He realizes that perhaps this technique of getting Johanna to go outside her lab wasn’t the best, because she isn’t socializing at all. She’s just lurking by the buffet, aggressively eating fancy cheeses and glaring at That Guy from across the room. Later Emmrich catches her trying to slip something into his drink.
“Relax, Volkarin! It’s not poison, it’s just concentrated Nevarran dragon pepper extract. It won’t kill him, but he might wish it did when he feels like he’s shitting out fire later! Now go mingle on the other side of the room so you have an alibi if anyone tries to pin this on you.”
Emmrich is a man of morals, but he’s also a man who thinks psychologically torturing someone for selling him a fake charm is acceptable, and someone who thinks this bitch got off way too easy for what he did. He casually goes off to chat with some friends elsewhere and keeps pleasantly sipping his wine when there’s an agonized scream and great deal of commotion across the room. The criminal ends up turning over the punch bowl in his haste to try to extinguish the fire in his mouth. Oh my. What shameful behavior at a party.
Johanna decides she’ll go to the next party Emmrich invites her to. If he wants to invite her. Whatever. She doesn’t care what he does. Obviously.

accommodations as a love language: a fukurodani essay
Fukurodani is probably the most unique team in Haikyuu when it comes to the team leadership structure. Bokuto is captain with Akaashi as his vice-captain. However, the unusual part of this is that Akaashi is a second year vice-captain in a team with no shortage of third years. If you know anything about Japanese senpai/kouhai dynamics, you will see how unusual this is. Compared to another second year setter-leader Kenma, Akaashi is very formal with the third years and seems to be a stickler to the system of sports culture.
Another unique thing about Fukurodani is that their captain’s number is 4 instead of 1. It becomes clear that Bokuto who wears the traditional number for the ace functions more as the ace of the team, rather than their leader. The training camp arc further cements this idea with Coach Ukkai and Miyanoshita Eri, manager of Ubugawa, making comments on Fukurodani’s play style:
Fukurodani is a team that has learned to accommodate Bokuto's ups-and-downs. They have complete trust in Bokuto’s abilities and Bokuto has trust in Fukurodani to not lose without him.
They are strong enough without Bokuto,
but they want Bokuto to do well.
Akaashi even states in 244 that although Bokuto's concerns may seem comical to some, they are very important to Bokuto and, therefore, Akaashi takes them seriously as well.
Bokuto is their mood maker and is very reliable. If you look through the Fukurodani matches, he is always the one praising his teammates for good plays and many people have commented that Bokuto being on a roll inspires others to do better as well.
This is especially striking considering Bokuto’s experience with his middle school team, ch. 335, where Bokuto was seen as too much and as a result, he often worked alone. Fukurdani is so important to Bokuto because they represent unconditional love and support.
As revealed later on in the plot, Bokuto is aware of his shortcomings. He takes responsibility for them, but also acknowledges Fukurodani’s help. He appreciates their support so much and wants to repay their kindness.
However, Bokuto is not the only one that receives the endless support of Fukurodani. They are a cohesive team and there are many scenes where they display familiarity with each other’s patterns.
Akaashi's habit of overthinking is noticed by Saru, Kaori points out that Akaashi is considered odd, Bokuto steps up to show his trust in Akaashi even when he starts to crumble. The team is not surprised when Akaashi starts crying and lets Bokuto be the one to comforts him.
It shows the unconditional love and support Fukurodani has for all members of the team.
They are not overly concerned when a member does not play their best because they trust each other wholeheartedly.
It is significant that they are the only team who are introduced together in the timeskip. It introduces the idea that Fukurodani is still a unit. There are even parallel lines where:
Bokuto, ch. 392: “梟谷(みんな)!!普通になった俺を見てくれ!”
“Everyone!! Look at how normal I am now (how far I’ve come)!”
Akaashi (and implied Konoha, Komi, Saru), ch. 400: “世界!!梟谷(うち)のエースを見てくれ!”
“World!! Look at our ace!”
There is an interesting technique used here in the Japanese where the kanji says “Fukurodani�� but the Furigana says “everyone” and “our.” The world “our” is also special because it is “うち” which is a word that derives from “home.” Bokuto belongs to Fukurodani and Fukurodani is narratively a family.
Fukurodani is introduced in Haikyuu when Karasuno is learning to grapple with Hinata's new-found desire to improve begins to destabilize the team dynamic. They show Karasuno that selfishness is okay with your team's support, leading to the honing of new weapons and Kageyama's reclaimation of his crown. They symbolize a different type of strength that Karasuno did not have yet. Although the roles they cultivated allowed for some stagnation and stress during the Mujinazaka match, they were able to overcome difficulties to become even stronger, falling just short of #1 in Japan. Still, their loss became more of a reason to pursue their goals and although not all of them play volleyball anymore, they come together across Japan to support each other.

Is Agatha Harkness a sociopath?
I wanted to make this post ever since I finished Agatha All Along, specifically after Agatha was referred to as a “sociopath” in the series. Now, “sociopath” is not an actual diagnosis and most of the time, what people refer to when it comes to sociopathy and psychopathy is actually anti-social personality disorder (ASPD). In this post, I’ll attempt to “diagnose” Agatha with ASPD and see if she fits the criteria for a diagnosis.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional, I’m only “diagnosing” Agatha because she’s a fictional character. Do not attempt to do the same for any real person. This post isn’t meant to stigmatize any real person with that condition, this is simply a character study. None of what I’m writing should be used in a real-life context.
1) Failure to obey laws and norms by engaging in behavior which results in criminal arrest, or would warrant criminal arrest
Agatha is quite literally a serial killer. She has been luring witches to their early graves for centuries. We don't know exactly how many people she has killed, but her body count is definitely quite large. I don't think she was ever arrested for her crimes but it definitely warrants a criminal arrest. If it wasn't for Wanda trapping her in the Agnes persona at the end of WandaVision, she would have most likely been arrested, especially since she attempted to kill multiple S.W.O.R.D. soldiers.
2) Deceitfulness, indicated by continuously lying, using aliases, or conning others for personal gain and pleasure.
This one is a given. Her primary means to steal magic was through a con. She deceived and manipulated unsuspecting witches who trusted her with the intent of stealing their magic and killing them. And even before that, she used her own son to lure witches and do the same. She does it primarily for profit, to get more magic, but she does seem to genuinely enjoy deceiving others and gaining pleasure out of it.
In both WV and AAA she was lying, deceiving and manipulating the rest of the cast from the very beginning for her own benefit. She infiltrated Wanda’s hex and posed as her nosy neighbour “Agnes”, graining Wanda's trust with the intent of stealing her magic from the start. She did it primarily for profit but there was also some enjoyment for her when she revealed the truth to Wanda, so much so that she created her own intro song. She was enjoying putting up a show almost as much as getting Wanda's magic.
This pattern of behaviors is seen throughout AAA too, especially upon rewatch. On your first watch, you might not notice but after rewatching a second time fully knowing the end, you can notice how much Agatha has been lying the entire time. Not only did she lie about the road and always intended to murder the cover in her basement, but when the hex road appeared she kept the lie that she went to the road before going. One could say that she had to keep the lie going because she never intended for the road to appear, so those weren’t lies she intended to tell, but at the same time, we can see how easily she can lie and deceive others. She knew all along that Billy created the road and that said road was deadly, yet made no attempt at stopping him. She knew people would die but she kept the lie going because she hoped that she could get back her powers at the end. So she lied, deceived and manipulated the group the entire time for her own gain.
3) Exhibiting impulsivity or failing to plan ahead.
Agatha is someone who likes to be in control, and does give off the illusion of being in control. But the truth is, she isn’t as much in control as she thinks she is, and is quite impulsive. Lots of her shortcomings are a direct consequence of an impulsive decision (fuck around and find out). Being impulsive doesn’t mean she can’t make elaborate schemes, because she sure does. But a lot of those are made impulsively. She sensed Wanda’s magic and decided to join her hex without knowing exactly how Wanda’s magic worked. She even started messing with her without knowing how Wanda’s magic would respond. Then in AAA we see more of her impulsive nature. She doesn’t think through whenever she makes a decision and ends up needing to improvise in order to compensate for her reckless decisions. She told Lilia about how her ability to steal magic worked, she picked a bound witch to be part of her coven, as well as a non-magical woman. The only one in the group that seemed to have the ability to blast was Alice. Not the greatest group if she needed to steal as much magic as possible. On the road, she made a lot of impulsive decisions that were quite reckless, like attempting to break the window and throwing her wine glass during the first trial, suggesting to summon another green witch, pretending to be possessed by Sharon, or messing with the tarot cards. There’s also the way she provoked Billy right after he nearly killed her. Those were all decisions she took without thinking about the consequences, out of impulsivity. But she’s not only impulsive when it comes to being reckless with others’ safety. She was also shown to be impulsive when it comes to helping some of her coven members. When Rio first emerged from Sharon’s grave, Agatha’s first instinct was to get in front of the coven as if she wanted to protect them. When Billy got thrown into the window, Agatha rushed to go check on him, or when Lilia was about to get impaled she jumped to push her out of the sword’s trajectory.
4) Irritability and aggressiveness, indicated by repeatedly getting into fights or physically assaulting others.
Once again, this one is a given. Agatha is easily irritated and very aggressive, she’s quick to anger, losing her patience and snapping at people. She had no issue hurting Wanda when she had her captive in her basement, slamming her against the wall when she got irritated with her. I’d argue that the mass murdering she did over centuries also count as frequent assaults. She’s also quick to engage in physical fights with Rio (although those are mutual on both sides), and there was a moment at the end of episode 3 where Agatha randomly kicked Jen when she was already down after they all went through the water slide.
5) Reckless behaviors that disregard the safety of others.
Agatha did not care how her actions affected the resident of Westview when she was purposefully messing around with the hex. She did not care either on the road. She knew from the beginning that it was a hex and even after seeing they could actually die in the trials, she made no attempt to try telling the others the road was fake. She could have tried to let Billy know he made the road but she didn’t. Because she didn’t care if some of them might die. She had no concern for their safety. She endangered the coven in the first trial by trying to break the window and by refusing to drink the wine. She did so too in the third trial by pretending to be possessed, making the group lose precious time. Same with the fourth trial by messing with the tarot cards and not stopping even when the swords were dangerous dropping on both her and Billy.
6) A pattern of irresponsibility
This is probably the only criteria I’m not sure would apply. There are instances of Agatha being irresponsible, but I don’t think we have seen enough of her personal life to establish a pattern. So until further notice, I’ll consider this criteria doesn’t particularly fit.
7) Lack of remorse after hurting or mistreating another person.
Agatha does not seem to have any remorse for all the people she murdered. She may have some remorse regarding her original coven, including her mother, but that was a much younger Agatha. The Agatha we know now does not seem to feel bad for the people she had killed for centuries. It’s even something she will be really flippant about whenever she talks about how many people she has killed.
She didn’t feel remorse when Sharon died either. Agatha might not have directly killed her, she is still responsible for her death by recruiting her into the coven. And it’s not like Agatha didn’t intend from the start to put Sharon in harm’s way. If her initial intention was to kill the coven, it’s very likely she would have killed Sharon too, or Sharon would have been killed by the Salem Seven. Billy may be indirectly responsible for Sharon’s death because he created the road, he was not aware of that nor did he intend for this to happen. Agatha on the other hand always intended for Sharon to die and did not feel bad when she actually did die. She acted extremely callous after Sharon’s death and never bothered to learn her name, even forgetting who she was later on.
And it’s not just about murder. She didn’t feel bad when she got Alice fired, nor did she feel bad when she learned she was the person who got Jen bound for a hundred years. She didn’t feel bad either about attempting to kill the coven from the beginning and had no qualms about using them to get to the end of the road even if it meant sacrificing them.
The coven’s members aren’t the only people who suffer because of Agatha’s actions. If we go back to WandaVision, Agatha orchestrated Sparky’s death. And she seemed pretty proud about causing a dog to die. It may have been revealed in AAA that Ralph poisoned the dog, but it was under Agatha’s order. He was under her magical control, so the blame is entirely on her. She did not feel bad at all for killing a dog. Speaking of Ralph, as much as his character is played for laughs, what she did to him was also pretty atrocious. She took control of his life, stole his house, and forced him to commit awful acts, causing psychological damage to him to the point he is completely paranoid now. It’s unlikely Agatha knows how Ralph ended up after what she did to him, I highly doubt she’d feel an ounce of remorse for that.
Now, lack of remorse does not mean lack of regrets. Agatha does not feel bad for hurting others and how her actions affected them, but she does have regrets. She does feel bad if her actions negatively affect her, like personal loss or missed opportunity. She did seem to feel regret about killing Alice, but I don’t think she felt remorse. She did not feel bad for Alice, she felt bad because of the consequences she had to face after. She did not intend to kill Alice at that time, and now she has lost any potential trust she could gain from the coven. Not only that, we know Agatha became a ghost because she couldn’t face Nicky in the afterlife, so the regret might also be that she thought her son had seen her kill Alice. I don’t think she felt remorse for what she did to Jen either. When Jen did the unbinding ritual, getting told over and over that she “holds nothing” worked on Agatha possibly because deep down, Agatha knew it was true. She no longer has her son, she has no magic, and she has driven away Rio. She did hold nothing anymore.
Having ASPD does not mean Agatha is incapable of love, or caring about others. She undoubtedly loved and cared about her son. So much so that she developed a soft spot for Billy because he reminded her of Nicky. She loved Rio too. Same for her pet rabbit. Unlike popular belief, lack of empathy is not a criteria for ASPD. It does usually result in low empathy, and that can vary from person to person. Agatha probably has little to no empathy for most people except the rare people she does manage to bond with. You can see it as a selective empathy for those she did love and care about, which included Nicky, Rio, Señor Scratchy and later possibly Billy.
If Agatha does have ASPD, how did it start? Even if sometimes genetics can play a role in developing that personality disorder, you aren’t born with it. Most of the time, it’s caused by the environment, mostly trauma experienced as a child. We know Agatha’s mother hated her. She thought she was born evil. She, with her coven, attempted to have her executed when Agatha was only 18. I do believe the accusations made at her were mostly true. She probably did steal knowledge and practiced dark magic. But Agatha did beg her coven to teach her, so I think it’s very likely that since her mother thought she was born evil, she didn’t allow Agatha to properly learn magic. If Agatha wasn’t taught magic and had this power she couldn’t control (siphoning), it’s not surprising that she would have to steal knowledge in order to learn. Agatha learned from a young age to break the rules in order to get what she wants or needs. And without proper guidance, it’s reasonable to think she might have practiced dark magic.
So yes, even if the accusations were true, her coven and mother are not blameless. Agatha is the way she is because of how she was raised, how she was treated as a child and growing up, and what she had to do in order to learn magic. She never had a healthy support system growing up, there was no possibility for therapy at that time, she was a witch living in the worst era for her kind, and she couldn’t even rely on her fellow witches to protect herself. After accidentally killing her original coven (including her own mother), which was definitely a traumatic event for her regardless if it was self-defence, she kept doing what she did so far to survive; steal, lie, deceive, kill. All the antisocial traits she exhibits as an adult are learned behaviours. Of course, it does not justify her crimes and horrific actions she later committed, but it does explain why she is that way. She wasn’t born evil, she became evil. She’s the product of her environment, experiences, circumstances and era.

Mmm. I usually don't get into fandom drama because sometimes it's really just a waste of energy. But TikTok's got some... interesting people. I've noticed a pattern and I hope I have a place to speak on it.
I'm kind of sick of non-Americans/Southerners being blatantly and willingly uneducated towards, or even just entirely ignoring the political+societal themes of rdr2. It's literally the game man. I just think sometimes they really don't feel the weight of the topics they're throwing around.
Why are you calling Charles a "redneck" in a failed attempt to call him another slur, neither of which were you aware were derogatory, nor did you think to educate yourself on the significance of?? And then when people called you out and educated you, you throw out a meager apology with the words "I'm sorry if I offended anyone."
And then proceed to half-ass a google search, post it, and further prove your stupidity by saying "redneck isn't a slur, it's a derogatory term for Americans" which yes, it is— towards white, southern, lower-class Americans, with actual history tied to it. It's still derogatory, and Charles isn't white. And THEN when confronted about it even more, you throw your hands up and say "I just can't make jokes I guess." Like it was never a joke in the first place dude. You're just being racist (and accidentally classist?) on account of your illiteracy.
And this one was just a wild argument I had the other day— why are you calling Micah's racist remarks "not as black and white as that"??? He quite literally says a derogatory term within the first ten minutes of the game. There's a whole four minute youtube video of his racist actions. Joking or not, or whether you think his intentions were to 'rile people up', it's still discriminatory. Racism is often, if not always, as black and white as that. (no pun intended /srs)
Thinking otherwise, I'm tempted to believe, is your own projection. It shows a lot that you'd stretch so far to continuously deny and defend a continuously emphasized theme, that directly affects the characters as it has directly affected real people. Hell, even if it was vaguer than that. How much tolerance are you privileged with to brush off and prance around something that irrevocably damaged entire communities for centuries. I'm all for liking and appreciating whatever character you want— I'm not gonna spend my time leading all those horses to water— but snatching and running with the veil of fiction to dissolve the connotations and gravity of a very real thing, simply depicted within a story, just so you can slobber all over your favorite character, it's just undoubtedly shallow and disrespectful to the history and media that you claim to comprehend. You can't just create lines to read between and pull the "have some media literacy" card when someone calls out that you really never had such power in the first place. Like I said, do whatever you want with a character, but at the very least acknowledge every single part of them instead of brushing it off.
Ah anywho. I'm not a POC myself but I am Southern. Racism is still very present here and I felt it'd be important to me to speak up about it. If anyone's got perspective to offer, or they'd like to correct me on anything, I'm open. I think my prose may be a little too flowery to have gotten every point and logistic across, so there's always a chance of misinterpretation. Just let me know!
*** Hh and disclaimers because I'm afraid of misunderstandings. I know racism exists in places outside of the U.S., but the game is placed in America. It's in the context of discrimination against American POC, that some non-Americans tend to poorly gauge the difference and weight of. In neither of these instances were the people from the U.S. And as another thing, this isn't to ignore the treatment other characters receive regarding their culture or country (Sean, Javier, Charles, etc.) by folk who are not a part of it. It's just ignorance. The cycle sickens me. I just think in general if you're going to consume historical fiction and you're going to discuss it, at least understand the historical part. Don't be blissful x
